Can't believe it's been a year! As they say, time flies when you're having fun. So to start the NEW YEAR right, join the crazy trail-running addicts on January 1, 2009, 8:00 AM on a FUN RUN from the Trump Golf Course in Palos Verdes to Del Cerro Park. That's about 3 miles uphill and 3 miles downhill, with the most spectacular views.

Hmmm, might have to join y'all. I'll bring Sassy to motivate me and keep me company, while I eat your dirt. Need to get started off right with execizing and, ugh, diet. Merina got hit by a car, and is slowly recovering so I doubt she'll be up for much in the next month. B.
I have a friend with a cabin in Lake Arrowhead & we've been throwing around the idea of celebrating the new year there. We haven't decided yet. If we don't go I'll definitely plan to join you. Marmalade is so yum!!
Wow, Lake Arrowhead :) It was so fun last year! Who would have thought waking up early on New Year's Day after a night of partying would be so worth it? If we don't see you, we'll know that in spirit you're also doing your run out there.
Barb, and those who intend to hike... If you haven't gotten to the trails to Del Cerro Park, I will be very, very willing to hike with you on Thursday. The guys who will be running will be walking some of the uphill too, so I don't think it will be too much of a wait. The goal is to get everyone to the top of the park. Those who finish earlier can head to Marmalade Cafe. There'll be enough overflowing coffee for them to hang out and wait for us a little. Besides, the party isn't starting without us so I'm sure it will work out :)
Here's a link to the directions to the Trump Golf Course. When you turn into Ocean Trails Drive towards the Clubhouse, we meet at the parking lot AFTER the clubhouse. Call me if you can't find us (619) 300-7218.

What a great way to start the New Year. OK, I was really slow especially at the end 'cuz the 6 miles turned into 8, but it was pretty cool to get to the top. Gotta do that more so I'll be ready for Baldy this year. And of course, the highlight for me is always the food! I figure I deserved the Harbor Island Eggs and the Mimosa. Thx everyone w/special thx to Divina for staying w/me so I wouldn't get lost. And Sassy loved it, she slept the rest of the day!!! B.
P.S. Heather, if you read this, e-mail me at bcsims@yahoo.com. Sassy would love to get a good run in, instead of my slo-poke jogs.
