I am out of town...I will be starting track workouts at LB State on Thursday August 21st at 5:30PM...I will show you how to do them. I will not be at the run on Saturday as I am in Boston right now for a wedding. Tell everyone this Thursday...especially Steve and Gary, to announce that I will help with interval running at LB state's track at 5:30pm on the 21st.

Hydration Tips in the heat

Well, Last Saturday 7/28 was the first really hot Saturday for running. I was not phased by the heat on the run. In fact, I felt no difference other than a deeper tan. Here are my tips for staying hydrated on a long hot run:
1. Avoid alcohol at least the night before if not 2 nights before the long run
2. Drink lots of water every day (at least 96oz) and over compensate for any drinks that dehydrate you. For example: if you have one 8oz cup of coffee drink 16oz of water. So, 1 bottle of beer is… Continue
