I had fun running at Griffith on Sat! We have to do it again before you leave. Your pics were awesome and thanks so much for the shell and bag!

Good Morning Noretta,
What an impressive woman you are! It was a pleasure reading your fundraising page. Now my goal to do the Nike Women's just to enjoy a meal sounds silly...but actaully, every time I run, I think of my Mom. She passed away on her 45th birthday, and it is because of that that I am so passionate about making everyday, that I have breath in my lungs and two legs that work, an amazingly productive and active day.
During my 1st 5k (I was supposed to do with my brother but wound up doing solo while wearing both of our bibs) I couldn't help but hope that my Mom would be proud that, even though she didn't do much in life that others could have recognized, she created two people who have so much respect for the health and happiness of their loved ones and themselves...my Mom really taught us to cherish every moment of our lives and to take advantage and embrace the fact that we are still on this earth, healthy and happy.
I find that many people who run, even though they say they do it because it makes them feel good, are also doing it becasue they have been touch by someone.
Zoe is a lucky young lady to have someone like you in her life and I hope she knows how much impact she is having on your life too.
Life is so wonderful when we are all inspiring one another.
Maybe I will see you out there in SF.
This will be my 1st 1/2...whew, those hills will sure be exciting.

Steve did a great job with the pics. the heat was definitely unreal. I am horrible at pacing myself so I was very thankful for Bernice and her consistant pace. Next year I am doing the Topanga 10K. It is a trail race and I think it is in May. I am really excited about that one. You should sign up too!!

Hi Noretta, Thanks for the friend add. Not sure how the messages here work, but I am planning on joining the beach runners for the Long Beach marathon (I plan on doing the half). I am a little nervous about joining as I am just just finished week 4 of the c25k program (which means I am up to running about 16 minutes with some walking breaks). But from looking at the site, you guys seem like a great group who are really supportive.
