I've been running since I was a teenager - I ran to keep in shape for soccer when I played on my high school team. I started endurance running in 2003. I recently started my own Enginnering Consulting practice in 2006 specializing in Forensic Engineering for the insurance industry and Utility Contingency plans for large manufacturing plants and critical facilities.

I'm trying to PR in the half marathon - I'd be happy with anything under 1:49 and ecstatic if I got near 1:45. I may train for the Catalina marathon.

Italian omelette from Babette's Feast, Machaca Burrito from Enrique's or Super Mex, one of Michele's fritatta's.
George...I just wanted to thank you. First I read your blog and it gave me a FULL understanding of the day to come in Catalina...it was actually really good for me psychologically....But really big thanks for starting off with me...it helped me pace myself. And of course my best quote of the day was when you flew by me on the downhill and I was doubled over with a side stitch and you yelled...come on Christy this is the easy part!! It totally made me laugh and get back in the downhill race!
Hope you are running the Catalina full!
Christy
I thought I had replied to your earlier comment. Thanks for the info. I actually got a room already at the Catalina Beach House. Sara had given me the info a couple of weeks ago. I am all set. You ready for the Buffalo? See ya Sat.
Jorge Blanco, I am afraid you have to go back to Buono's to pick up something you forgot... don't worry we just charged couple bottles of wine on it ;p
Cheers!
Thanks for the Clarification on the cadence term. Connie and I could not remember the verbiage used by Larry last night at his yoga in the hood. But that cadence was a big hit!
